TJE: Lindy Versyck (vocals), Melvin Slabbinck (guitar) and Klaas Leyssen (bass) form a musical trio
that decided to elevate the diminutive suffix TJE to an independent band name. With
a minimum of instruments, they aim for maximum impact and probe the
limits of their instruments in search of dissonance and musical friction. The stage
filled with atmosphere, musicianship and three songs that built a tension curve
that felt like that of a full set,’ wrote HUMO after their third place at
the 2024 Rock Rally. The autumn of 2023 saw the release of their debut EP IDOLS’, on which quirky indietronica flirts with melancholic art pop and experimental post-rock. Portishead hooks up with Fever Ray, ML Buch and Astrid Sonne, and Versyck who, like a Belgian Björk, shifts her voice between childishly naive and menacing’ (De Standaard).
Live, TJE also impressed at festivals including Little Waves, Boomtown and Left of the Dial in Rotterdam, and as a support act at fine venues such as the AB, OLT Rivierenhof and Trix.
LUHA made her debut in 2021 with Is It Today Or Tomorrow, an EP that quickly gained attention,
especially with the track Call You Back. In 2023, she dropped Bedroom Talks, the first
result of her collaboration with her brother Maxime Beneteau, a project that put intimacy and vulnerability at its core. Now, LUHA is back with a more raw and authentic sound. Her style has evolved, offering a stronger and more vulnerable voice, with minimalistic arrangements. Songwriting has become central to her work. With a new EP coming in spring 2025, LUHA is reinventing herself by merging indie pop and indie rock.
